A couple years or so ago, I noticed my bedroom door would be open when
I would wake up. I ALWAYS shut my door when I go to bed. A couple of times,
I heard someone playing with the door knob, trying to open the door. I
thought that maybe with the heat on, it was messing with the door. I don't
know how it would, I was just tired and wanted to get back to sleep. I
would either hear the door knob, or the door would be open, but not both.
Finally,
one morning, someone playing with the door knob woke me up. This time,
they finally got the door open. I had a mirror on the bottom of the wall,
since it was only half a wall cut out into the kitchen. That, and there
was no place else to put it at the time. Well, as the door opened, I didn't
see anyone, but saw my daughter's feet reflected in the mirror. I thought
she was just too far back for me to see her.
When
the door opened, I was startled, so I jumped up, and the feet in the reflection
ran away. I called my daughter, but she didn't answer me. So I got up
to see what she wanted. I went to her room, only to find her sound asleep!
I was very confused, especially since I was just woken up. It took me
a few minutes to realize that the feet in the reflection belonged to a
white child, I assume a girl, about 12.
My
daughter was 14 at the time, and since she's not all white, her feet are
much darker than the ones I saw. I also realized that the girl in the
reflection was wearing a long white nightgown. It dawned on me that my
daughter NEVER had a nightgown that looked like that! We still don't know
who she is or what she wanted. I was told in a read that Kat (short for
Katherine, what we decided to call her since we don't know her name) likes
my daughter. My daughter thinks that's who goes into her room and sits
on her bed when she's sleeping. She knows this, because she's felt someone
sit down on her bed a couple times.

One day, I woke up, and went to say good afternoon (I got up about noon,
so I couldn't quite say good morning!) to my girls. They were in the bathroom
doing girl stuff, like their hair, makeup, etc., while listening to the
radio. One of them turned around and asked me why I ran away from them
last night. I coudln't figure out what they were talking about, but they
were insistent that I ran away from them the night before. I tried to
tell them it wasn't me.
They
looked at me very worried, telling me, 'no, don't tell me that!' Then
they told me that they had heard their bag, with their funnyons, crinkling
in the kitchen. They came out to check on it, and they saw who they swear
was me trying to get a couple funnyons. As soon as this other person saw
them, he took off towards the door and disappeared.
They
were tired, not realizing that I wouldn't just disapear into thin air
like the person they saw. But because they were tired, they didn't want
to bother me with it that night. It freaked them out so bad, they weren't
sure they even wanted to go to sleep that night! But they left the funnyons
out, just in case they could see this person again, or in case this person
wanted a treat!

I went to bed one night, nothing unusual. But when I got up the next day,
I walked out to the front room to find the stereo on! I usually shut everything
off before I go to bed. So if there was a light, I'd see it, or noise,
I'd hear it, and turn it off before I went to my room. This day, the stereo
was on, and the only people that were in the apartment all night were
me and the cats. And I have yet to see the cats turn anything on!
